We Are What We Think
"Ideas are centers of consciousness. They have a positive and a negative pole and generate thoughts of every conceivable kind. Hence a man's body, health, intelligence, finances, in fact everything about him, are derived from the ideas to which he gives his attention." - Charles Fillmore, Prosperity

In the news
If one listens to the news today one gets the impression that we are experiencing the worst economic downturn since the "Great Depression." This concept is also coming from the mouth of the same person who wrote "Audacity of Hope," President Obama.
Is what they are saying true? If so, then we're in real trouble and life is going to get really bad for a lot of people. So I did some boning up on the Great Depression , and after a very short period of time and little effort, I have to say, that either they are grossly misinformed, or they are lying to us. Because the fact is, our nation is not experiencing anything like the Great Depression. Not even close.
Think I'm wrong? Do your own research. I think you'll see that my findings are correct.
In fact, we're not even experiencing what it was like in the early eighties, let alone experiencing what it was like during the Great Depression. So, why is the mainstream media and the Obama administration filling our heads with this, obviously, false information? Why are they trying to scare the hell out of us? How does that kind of rhetoric give us hope? What is their agenda?
I believe these are questions we all should be asking ourselves, them and our representatives.
